The newly appointed Hon. Commissioner, Mukhtar Ahmed has called on staff of the Planning and Budget Commission and its agencies to be dedicated to their official duties.

He made this known during an interactive session with the management and staff of the commission and its agencies.

According to him, “It is with gratitude to God that I address you on how we intend to run the commission as well as to appreciate you for coming.

“I have taken an oath of office to do my best for the task bestowed upon me, and I was given the mandate to run the affairs of the commission even though I cannot run it alone, therefore, to succeed, I need your dedication and cooperation to move the affairs of the commission to greater heights.

“I am not making promises, but I will ensure that the staff’s welfare would be my topmost priority.

“We will be fair but firm by making the working environment very conducive for everyone to express their potential.

“I have come with an open mind so that we can collectively carve a niche for ourselves,” he assured.

While calling on the staff to see him as a student because he is here to direct as well as to learn from all the staff regardless of their grade level, he appealed for their necessary support to succeed.

The commissioner assured that regular interface with the staff and management would be held to address pressing issues.

He added that plan to integrate Governor Uba Sani’s 7-points manifestos in the Kaduna State Development Plan is ongoing, and he seeks the support of the staff in ensuring it is being implemented.

The staff congratulated the commissioner and pledged to give their extra best for him to achieve all his lofty ideas for the commission.
